Is it safe to convert patient scans here?

Can I adjust brightness/contrast before converting?

Yes. Drag on the image with the left mouse button: horizontal movement changes the window width (contrast), vertical movement changes the window center (brightness) — the standard DICOM window/level gesture. The buttons above the image jump to the standard presets (Soft tissue, Lung, Bone, Brain). Single-slice exports (PNG, JPG, PDF) capture exactly what you see; the full report uses each file's stored default window for consistency across the series.
